Your mission
As a Manual QA Engineer at FileWave, you will play a critical role in ensuring our software’s reliability, usability, and performance. You’ll be responsible for performing functional and regression testing, validating fixes, and documenting results to ensure the highest quality of our releases. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, with strong analytical skills, and possesses a passion for quality assurance in a collaborative and agile development environment.
Responsibilities:
Test Planning & Execution:
- Review and analyze requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to create detailed test plans and test cases.
- Execute test cases across multiple platforms (macOS, Windows, iOS, Android) to ensure functionality, usability, and compatibility.
Defect Tracking & Management:
- Identify, document, and track defects in Jira, providing detailed and accurate reports for development teams.
- Verify and validate defect fixes, ensuring they meet quality standards before release.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with developers, product managers, and automation engineers to identify potential issues early in the development lifecycle.
- Participate in sprint planning and daily stand-ups to stay aligned with development progress.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Document and maintain test case libraries, providing clear steps for reproducibility and ensuring they align with project updates.
- Create test reports summarizing findings, progress, and key insights to inform stakeholders and support data-driven decisions.
Continuous Improvement:
- Contribute to the development and refinement of QA processes, including test coverage, efficiency, and cross-team collaboration.
- Actively learn about our products and suggest improvements to testing approaches.
